Happy Friday from Seattle!

I'm here for just one night before heading to Monterey tomorrow to kick off a Big Sur adventure with my mom in honor of Mother’s Day weekend. We haven’t traveled together in a while, so I’m especially excited for some time off the grid—and along some very scenic cliffs.

I’ve always heard Big Sur is the kind of place that hits differently in person—dramatic cliffs, coastal mist, the kind of silence you don’t get near a jet bridge. We’re planning to keep it low-key: some scenic drives, ocean air, hopefully a few incredible meals. If you’ve been and have a favorite stop, hidden gem, or must-see view, please send it my way—I’m all ears.
