A Concorde on the Ceiling—and Now I’m Planning a London Layover

I just discovered Brooklands, the aviation-themed restaurant inside The Peninsula London, and now I can’t stop thinking about it. There’s literally a Concorde gliding across the ceiling of the dining room like it’s mid-flight to New York—but instead of meal trays and turbulence, they’re serving up Michelin-starred dishes and martinis.

The whole place is a tribute to British aviation and motorsport history, designed by chef Claude Bosi (of Bibendum fame). It's sleek, it’s stylish, and it looks like the kind of spot where you could sip a cocktail and daydream about the golden age of air travel—without worrying about your standby priority.

Somehow, even with all the times I’ve flown through London, I never knew this existed. Now it’s firmly on my bucket list.

Have you been to Brooklands? Is it as incredible as it looks—or should I keep romanticizing it from 35,000 feet?
